Argentine actress Miriam Lanzoni shared a personal testimony about how psoriasis affected her health, self-esteem, and professional career. According to the Argentine News Agency, through the program 'La Mañana con Moria,' the actress recounted that she lived with the disease in secret for over a year and only a month ago decided to share her situation with images and a detailed account of her experience. The performer described the physical and emotional impact of the skin flare-ups and admitted how difficult it was for her to face her own image: 'At times, I had trouble looking at myself. The healing process has begun.' The actress also focused on the psychological aspect of the disease and how it affected her personal strength: 'My illness greatly weakened me. There were days when I would wake up and have more lesions than healthy skin.' Lanzoni explained that the symptoms not only affected her personal well-being but also her professional activity, forcing her to cancel work commitments due to visible lesions on her body and face. She detailed that there were jobs she could not do because there was no way to hide her condition: 'I had to turn down jobs because there was no way to hide my body and face in that state.' She currently assured that she feels better now and is in a recovery phase: 'Now I am well, better. I am a very strong woman, and this weakened me a lot.' Additionally, she explained that psoriasis creates a difficult cycle to break: the flare-up causes nervousness, and that same stress amplifies the symptoms: 'It's a vicious circle.' Lastly, she recounted that the onset of her flare-ups coincided with a very close loss: the death of Federico, nicknamed Cory, whom she defined as her assistant and 'brother of heart.' She related that shortly after that death, the skin manifestations began: 'I was unrecognizable, I didn't have a good time,' she said, and concluded that over time she understood that she had not been able to process that grief and that the emotional conflict ended up expressing itself physically.
